Ryker's 2 month check up

My boy is HUGE!! Especially compared to his older brother at this age. The picture of Ryker sleeping is him today. Poor boy had a rough morning getting 4 shots!! He took it harder than Jaxon did his first time but it's one of those unavoidable facts of life. The other pic is him smiling at daddy yesterday. The last pic is Jax at 2 months crying like he usually was.
Ryker:
Weight: 13lbs 2oz 75%
Length: 23 3/4" 75%
Head: 16" 50-75%
Jaxon:
11lbs 12oz 25%
23" 25%
15 3/4" 50%

Good news/Bad news

Good news is...Rykers slept 9, yes you heard it right, 9 hours for me last night. You think you have a good baby and learn the next day that you have an awesome one!!

Bad news is...I had my doctors appointment for this cough and chest pain I've been having and found out I have pneumonia. The docs instructions were to drink lots of water and do nothing for 10 days. That's impossible but I'm going to at least take it easier. This explains why that hike was so hard on me. At least I'll be good to go before Hawaii. YEAH!!

As I was typing this, more bad news. My sweet little Jaxon has a fever. I hate when he's sick but he is so cuddly and sweet. Like I said, at least his is all happening now instead of in Maui. :)

Ryke-A-Tyke is 2 Months old!!

My Little Ryker is just growing up! He is still a perfect little angel for me. Rarely fusses, sleeps up to 7 hours a night, sleeps most the day, and doesn't spit up. Could I get any more lucky than this? We just love this little butter-ball!! And doesn't he look tough in this pic?

The Hike From Hell!!!

Saturday, Liz took me and my 2 sisters to superstition mountain to go on a "difficult" hike. Difficult would have been easy compared to what it was. Now, I consider myself to be active and in decent shape. There has never been anything physically that I have not been able to do growing up but this hike nearly killed me. There were times I was ready to give up but the stubborn and competative Curtis in me wouldn't allow it. My sisters made it half way which is a good hike as it is and Liz and I made it to the top. I couldn't have done it without her. I have been sick with fevers for the last 2 days and every inch of me hurts but at least I can say I did it. Can't say yet if I will ever do it again. I think I'm getting too old. :(

Shelli's Birthday Bash

Yesterday was my little, okay not little but younger sisters birthday (I knew I'd get crap if I didn't say that correctly). She turned the big one-seven. Woo Hoo! Anyway, I made her a cake like I always do for her birthday. Last years' cake was the hippie VW and this year was the other one you see (not sure what to call it). It's been 5 years since I made a tiered fondant cake and I have wanted to do it for a while so I did and it didn't turn out exactly like I hoped but not terrible for it being so long since I've done it. I did have a lot of fun making it and learned a lot. I decided I want to practice more so anyone out there looking for a birthday or wedding cake for only the cost that it would take to make it, I'd be thrilled to. I'm not great at it yet but maybe someday I will be and maybe even make some money at it.

I know the pic is blurred but isn't she so cute in it?

Here we are trying to get a picture of Nana with all the grandkids. I think it was a success since they are all at least in the same frame.

My bros wanted me to put up this pic of them rocking out and they also wanted me to make sure eveyone knows how cute they are. :)

Ryker's Blessing Day

Brian gave his son a beautiful blessing today and Ryker was perfect through the whole thing. Afterwards, we had a get together at the house and made grilled pizza for everyone. It, thankfully, was a hit. We also had a delicious tart my grandma brought for dessert. Thank you to everyone who came to make it such a special day- Poppy, Grandma and Grandpa Taylor, TJ, Liz, Klayton, Craig, Scotty, Shelli, Stacy, Susan, Lindsey, Great Grandma, Aunt Alta, Jeff, Chelsea, Rustin, Carol, and Chuck. We love you all! Also, we missed Nana and we hope she feels better.
Here are pics of Ryker in his blessing outfit. I puff painted a tie on his onesie.

Jaxon and Rustin are starting a band.

TJ and Craig are dancing...aren't they cute?

Anyone having doubts on our boys looking a like now? The top one is Jax.

4th of July Bash

This 4th of July we had a blast! Cousin Klayton spent the day with us while TJ and Liz went hiking and relaxed at home. Then we went to their house for a BBQ for Liz's birthday. Jaxon got to see his first fire cracker that TJ lit up on the back porch. He went looking for it in the trash when we threw it away because he loved it so much. We also brought out some popper's but he didn't like those (they were a little loud). As we were driving home, we saw some fire works going off. We stopped at one of the places and Jaxon couldn't stop oooooing and aaaaawing. He was mad when they stopped and we drove away. All in all, it was a great day. Thanks TJ and Liz!!!

Daddy Heaven

Brian has the week off from school this week so he gets to spend a lot more time with us. He has missed being able to play with his kids and is soaking it up. His most favorite thing is when Jaxon cuddles with him. Isn't this sweet?
